Users Manual

Step - 1 -- Download the setup from our www.koottani.blogspot.com

Step - 2 - Copy all the files  folder C:\tamil

FONT INSTALLATION

Step -3   - Start > Settings > Control panel > Double click Fonts

           

                        In Fonts folder Open the menu File > Install New Fonts

or simply copy the fonts and paste into the folder "Fonts"

In  Add Fonts dialog box select C:\Tamil in the folder option  and select all fonts and then Click O

DRIVER INSTALLATION

Step - 4

            Open the Folder C:\Tamil\Van

            Right click VAN installer package (setup file) and click Install option

A window with successful installation appears.  Close It.

ACTIVATION

Step - 5          Start >Settings > Control Panel and Click Regional Language & Settings Option

            Choose Language Tab

            Click "Details Button"

            A new dialog box "Text Services and Input Languages" Open

            Click Add Button

Another New Dialog box "Add Input Language" open

            Here Choose Tamil-Van-Keyboard in Keyboard Layout/IME Option

            and click OK Button

Click OK in "Text Services and Input Language" Dialog Box

            Close everything

            You can notice a small icon in the right bottom of Task Bar.  If you point the mouse on this icon it displays "English(United States)"

USING METHOD

Step - 6 

                        Open Microsoft word > Press Left Ctrl+Shift to type in Tamil

                        Before typing choose Vanavil Tamil fonts in font selection icon in

                        Formatting Tool bar

            You can see the icon in Task Bar shows "TAMIL-VAN-KEYBOARD" when you point the mouse on that icon

Again for typing in English  Press Left Ctrl+Shift.  Similarly

                        before typing choose English fonts in font selection icon in

                        Formatting Tool bar
